Soul sand
Soul sand isn't really that exceptional. Many other solid blocks don't fill their whole 1*1*1 space, such as ladders, slabs, stairs, tilled field, chests, ender-chests, brewing stands, cauldrons, cakes, glass panes and fences. Other blocks affect your movement, such as ladders and ice. The effect with ice is just that the game thinks that you're on the ice block, so you lose grip, but at the same time you're slowed down by the soul sand. I don't know whether the section on soul sand sould be removed or just other unusual blocks mentioned but it's really not that exceptional.109.149.43.77 13:22, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
Visual height vs collision height
Many blocks in the height table have a slightly different visual height than the height noticed when, say, walking on top of it. For example: Four layers of snow, a half-slab and a cake all look equally high, counted in pixels, but every one of them has a different height when walking atop. I feel like this should be added to the table or at least the article. 86.82.30.109 02:29, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Ice
Blue ice should be added, and packed ice should be moved to ice maybe. 59.149.187.125 06:30, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
Either way obsolete or way wrong.
"A block can be considered solid if it has a collision box that players, mobs, or other entities cannot move through"
And then we get the list of non-solid blocks, including:
- Chorus plant - Chorus flower - Flower pot - Player head - End rod - Snow block
One can definitely climb any of these.
Also, the list of solid blocks has a signs and banners, which best to my knowledge are intangible where it comes to players/mobs/entities. Sharfpang (talk) 13:34, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, this list is definitely very all over the place. What actually is the definition of a solid block? 82.17.90.21 01:11, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
All of those blocks in your first list have a collision box that entities can't move through, it's just smaller than a full block. Signs and banners shouldn't be there though. 00gogo00 (talk) 21:29, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Should Coral and Sea Pickles be listed as water plants?
They're animals. I know sea pickles are inexplicably compostable, but that's more of a Minecraft problem than a Minecraft Wiki problem.--47.184.113.212 14:47, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
